"FAQ HQ"
How far in advance of our wedding should we contact you?
I would love to hear from you at least 6 weeks before your big day! I ask this in order to meet with you, write up your wedding script and give you ample time to go over it and make any corrections that you would like.
If it is past 6 weeks we can still meet and discuss plans. I can even give you pointers when you should secure your marriage license.
What happens if my venue doesn't allow a rehearsal?
I recommend a rehearsal, it is time for all of us to meet the rest of your party In a relaxed atmosphere and iron out the logistics. Who stands where? When is this said? Who walks first? All this will be discussed at your rehearsal. that is why it is included in my services.
if your venue is not available, don't worry!
all we need is a area where we can imagine the "front area" , rows and rear area. We will talk about pacing while walking down the isle!
Having a rehearsal helps to insure that everyone is relaxed as they can be for your wedding day!
What kind of credentials or training do you hold?
To have a wedding that is successful and memorable,
it requires an officiant who is passionate, articulant in their field.
I am authorized to legally perform wedding ceremonies in most states in the US through my ordination by the UNIVERSAL LIFE CHURCH. This gives me the authority that lets me say "By the Power invested in me by the state" By this action the day is legally binding.
I am proud to say I have completed 20+ hours of classes, learning from Mark Allan Groleau, leading Canadian Wedding expert and officiant. He has developed the Program UnBoring! Wedding Academy and UnBoring! Wedding Academy Pro. His style is what I use when I plan out your wedding day from the initial chemistry check right down to the last
kiss and all the fun stuff in-between.
I have completed the LGBT+ Wedding Certification Course taught by Equality Institute. I am one of the areas experts on LGBT+ weddings and is ND first.
How do we know if you have our date open?
Send me a message and lets start a conversation!
What if your sick on the day of the wedding?
This has never happened but fortunately I have list of several licensed and experienced colleagues who I know that would stand in my place and delivery a great ceremony. I feel confident enough in them to have them marry me! Our planning stage would already be done, the script and your love story written, so they could step in seamlessly with what you and I have created together.
How does Payment work?
After we meet and you decide to book me, I will send you a email that opens to a payment portal using Venmo or PayPal, or you can send me a check. I ask for 50% booking deposit as a retainer. I then ask for the remaining amount well after the script is drafted. Then I will start writing your love story, editing along with you and reaching out to your family and friends to make your wedding the best that you could ever have.
Looking for vendors? Venues? Photographer? DJ?
I would love to help you pick the right person or place for you! I have a growing list of vendors that I would love to share with you and help you get into contact with them!
